Hollywood Loses Another Star

Hollywood took another heavy hit.

Actress Brittany Murphy passed away suddenly, Sunday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Reports say that at approximately 8 a.m., emergency responders were called to her home in Hollywood Hills after her mother found her collapsed in the shower.  Brittany was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead at 10 a.m.

When TMZ first broke the news, all that was being said was that Brittany went into cardiac arrest and doctors could not revive her.  Which is true.  But, now preliminary toxicology test suggests that the starlet died of natural causes.   Reports say that in the days prior to her death, the actress had been taking medications for flu-like symptoms.  Family members say she had been vomitting early Sunday morning and complained of being ill.  According to TMZ, "various prescriptions were found in Murphy's home--written for her, her husband Simon Monjack, and her mom."   An autopsy is planned for Monday or Tuesday.

I know there are a lot of people who are not familiar with Brittany Murphy and her impact on Hollywood, but I, for one, loved her! From being on TV shows like Sister, Sister and Blossom to films like Clueless to Sin City. I think I've pretty much seen all of her movies! As a matter of fact, I was just watching Just Married about 3 nights ago.  She was just so entertaining to watch and she will definetly be missed.  I know what it's like to lose a loved one and to do so so suddenly.  So, my thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this time.

 Alaina Reed Hall, who is best known for her role as Rose on the TV show 227, passed away on December 17th.  Reports related to her death indicate that the actress died of breast cancer.

She was 63.

My condolences to her family as well.  2009 officially sucks! This is just not Hollywood's or the NFL's year.  Just end already...

Now, you see this....that picture right there is exactly why this next story even exists.   Ya'll know I love me some Lil Wayne, but even I am getting tired of hearing the same ol thing with him. 

For the umpteenth time, Wayne has been busted with marijuana on his tour bus.  Friday night, he and 11 people from his entourage were briefly detained by the U.S. Border Patrol after a drug dog detected, well drugs, on not one, but 2 of Wayne's tour buses.   The buses were stopped in Falfurrias, Texas about 80 miles away from Corpus Christi where the rapper was scheduled to perform.

The crew was questioned and released, but the Brooks County Sheriff's Office can still press charges if they choose to.   Wayne has a pending case in Arizona and he took a plea for a weapons possession charge in New York.  He is set to begin his one year jail sentence in that case, in February.  

How on Earth, Lil Wayne, could you possibly keep getting caught on the same dang charges!  I just don't understand it!  Well, at least this time they didn't find any guns.  Get it together Wayne. You're too famous for this foolishness!

So, Shane Sparks is a child molester too now?

The 40 year old MTV's America's Best Dance Crew judge and So You Think You Can Dance choreographer was arrested and released on $590,000 bail after accusations surfaced of him molesting and underage girl...back in 1994.  Apparently, the victim was one of Shane's dance students at Millenium Dance Complex in LA. 

Here's how MTV is reporting it:

Sparks, whose age was listed as 40 in the arrest warrant, was charged with six felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child, identified by her first name and last initial as being under the age of 14, "with the intent of arousing, appealing to, and gratifying the lust, passions and sexual desires of the said defendant and the said child. "  The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between July 1, 1994 and August 1, 1994, December 1, 1994 and August 3, 1995, August 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997 and April 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997.

He was also charged with two counts of oral copulation of a person under the age of 16 by someone over the age of 21 for incidents that allegedly occurred between April 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997 and August 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997.

Of course, Shane denies all of this.  According to his defense lawyer, Shane is "wrongly accused."  He said, "This entire case wreaks of opportunism and exploitation and it stinks to high heaven.  The timing of these accusations is incredibly suspicious.  It's easy to make something up when it happened 15 years ago and there's no evidence to support it."

You know what?  I kind of agree.  Now, I'm not choosing sides, but I think it is extremely suspect to wait til now to say something.  Maybe somebody is trying to get one over on him.  But, then again, who is he really to be exploiting?  *shrugs* I don't know...but what I do know is that his lawyer better be GOOOOOD!

Sorry tweens! Kevin Jonas is off the market! The oldest Jonas Brother married Danielle Deleasa this past Saturday in Long Island.  (Don't'cha just hear the hearts breaking?)

They were married in a French-style chateau with about 400 guests watching.  The other Jonas Brothers, Joe and Nick, were Kevin's best men. 

"We're so happy that we're finally married and we were able to share the special moment with family, friends, and loved ones," the couple told People Magazine. 

Well congrats to the happy couple! (Seriously though, I didn't think any of those guys were even old enough to get married.)

And while Kevin Jonas was off preparing for his nuptials, Deane Sheremet was preparing his divorce papers.  Deane filed for divorce from singer/actress LeAnn Rimes, citing "irreconcilable differences."   He even went for the gusto and is asking that LeAnn pay spousal support and his attorney fees.  The couple had been married 7 years.

All this comes after LeAnn starting sneaking around with actor Eddie Cibrian while they were filming the Lifetime movie, Northern Lights.  Eddie is, too, married and since he and LeAnn have come out as a couple, his wife Brandi Glanville has filed for divorce as well. 

Oh yeah, and she slashed all the tires on his motorcycle.  LOL! She and Elin Woods should start up some kind of Male-Bashing (literally) Ex-Wives G-Force Power Team or something.  LOL! Let me stop giving them ideas.....

And while we're on the subject of divorce....

Beyonce's mommy and daddy, Tina and Matthew Knowles, are finally calling it quits. Are we really surprised at this though?  I mean, the rumors about Matthew over the years, not to mention the secret pregnant side chick that just came out of the woodworks...it was bound to happen.  But, I guess Mama Tina finally got fed up. 

Source close to the Knowles say that the marriage has been un-folding for quite some time.  They say the kids are sad, but they'll get through it.  Here's the official statment from Matthew and Tina:

"The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter."

And the crazy thing is, both of them will be loaded whether they stay together or not.  SMH. Rich people...

And in other random news....

Theybf.com is reporting that rapper Beanie Sigel was injured in a car accident Saturday night.  According to that site, a tractor trailer reportedly ran his car off the road.  Beanie was not driving.

The Brady baby has a name!! New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and his model wife Gisele Bundchen have finally decided on a name for their son....Benjamin!  Baby Benjamin Brady (say that three times fast) was born on December 8th and has gone this long without a name. 

And speaking of babies.... the attention hog that is Tila Tequila claims that she is pregnant...with her brother's baby.  Calm down, it's not what you think.  The reality star claims that she is going to be a surrogate mother for her brother and his wife.  She tweeted her "big announcement":

"I am going to become a SURROGATE MOTHER for my brother and his Wife!!...That is my xmas present to them.  I'm pregnant!!!"

YAAAAAAAWWWWWN!

Just a couple of weeks ago, Tila claimed to be engaged to Johnson & Johnson heiress, Casey Johnson.  Before that she claimed that Rihanna has herpes.  Before that, she claimed that Shawne Merriman choked her.  And before that, she claimed that she was pregnant by Ray J.  Need I go on?? And notice how I keep using the word "claimed?"   That's because you can't believe a doggone word that Tila says.  I'll believe this when I see a baby bump.  And even that'll be debatable.

Que from the Making the Band group Day 26, well, is no longer in Day 26.  He tweeted over the weekend that he received a letter from the rest of the guys in the group saying that they plan to move forward without him.  Since then, he's gone a video rampage to "reveal the truth."

If you've watched the show, then you know that Que is notorious for going on these crazy rants because of his issues with the groups manager, Screwface.  He says that he (Screwface) is behind him being kicked out.  Que had been campaigning via Twitter for new management for a few days before he actually got word of his, um, release.  He says, though, he still loves the rest of the guys and wishes them nothing but the best. 

Willie, another member of Day 26, tweeted that the group tried everything they could to keep Que in the group.  Guess they didn't try too hard.  Makes me wonder if Diddy's behind this...even though they supposedly left Bad Boy.  Hmmmmmm......

And last but not least,

Taylor Swift was named The Associated Press' Entertainer of the Year, and Michael Jackson's death was named the Top 2009 Entertainment Story.
