T.I. is Free!
Last week, I reported that there were talks that T.I. may get out of prison in time for the new year. Well, they did us one better...T.I. came home just in time for Christmas! The rapper was released from a federal prison in Arkansas on Monday morning. But, he was moved to a halfway house in Georgia where he will serve out the rest of his sentence, which is only 3 more months.
T.I. was sentenced to a year and a day for illegal firearms possession and possessing a gun as a convicted felon.

Just about a week or two ago, we inducted singer Ashanti into "The Stalker Society." Well, Tuesday, her stalker, 31 year old Devar Hurd, had his day in court and was convicted of harrassing Ashanti and her mom, Tina Douglas, by sending dirty texts and photos to them.
So this dude is a wanna-be rapper and car salesman from Griffith, Indiana. He says he got Mama Douglas' phone number from Ashanti's record label. But, he thought the vulgar messages, the pictures of his you-know-what, and the pics of Ashanti's family's home and cars were all welcome. Can we say...DELUSIONAL!
But, during his testimony, between occasional rap lines and finger-snapping, Devar said that those messages and photos were just intended as jokes.
"Why would I want to annoy (Douglas) or harass her or whatever in any kind of way?" he said to the jurors. "Doing anything to her or to Ashanti....that's not my style."
Really, Devar??? Ok, than what is exactly is your style!?!? Smh. Weirdo.
Anyway, Devar can face up to two years in prison. He is currently being held until his sentencing which is set for January 11th.
Stalker Sexting...SMH. I bet money this dude sends Ashanti a letter from jail. How much you wanna bet???

Tom Cruise, his attorney Bert Fields, and some jailed private investigator named Anthony Pellicano are all being sued...for spying!
Ok, maybe "spying" is a bit dramatic, but it makes the story sound more interesting, don't'cha think? Anyway, here's the story:
Back in 2001, Tom filed a lawsuit against Michael Davis Sapir for defamation. Apparently this Michael dude told a bunch of media outlets that Tom was gay. They settled the suit in November 2001 and the Michael guy retracted his story. Well now, Michael claims that during that time, Tom, Bert Fields, and Anthony Pellicano wiretapped his phone.
Michael Sapir's lawsuit is asking for nothing less than $5 million.
Womp. Didn't you like this story so much better when you thought Tom Cruise was a spy?

I don't know who is harder to look at...Steven Tyler or Joan Rivers. *cringe*
The Aerosmith frontman has reportedly entered a rehab center to treat an addiction to painkillers that he's been taking to cope with 10 years of performance injuries.
If you remember, the band canceled a summer tour earlier this year after Steven fell off of the stage during a performance in South Dakota and broke his left shoulder.
His doctor says that orthopedic injuries over the past decade have left Steven with severe chronic pain that will require surgeries on his knees and feet. Well, if he would stop doing all that jumping around on and off the stage and into the crowd and all that foolishness and carrying-on, he wouldn't have that dang problem. Sometimes it's ok to just stand still and sing. Geez!
But, this isn't Steven's first time in a rehab. He checked into one last year to recover from foot surgeries and physical therapy (ok, different kind of rehab). But, he also completed rehab in 1986 after a battle with alcohol abuse.
Steven released this statement on Tuesday:
"I love Aerosmith; I love performing as the lead singer in Aerosmith. I am grateful for all of the support and love I am receiving and am committed to getting things taken care of."

And word floating around the rumor mill is that Jennifer Hudson is pregnant AGAIN! Her son, David Otunga, Jr. is practically still a newborn! He's only, what, 6 months old!?! But, theybf.com is reporting that a close friend of Jennifer's has pretty much confirmed the pregancy:
"Jennifer was in total shock when she found out she was having another baby,"
says her close friend, who adds that the couple learned they were expecting on Dec. 10. "She had wanted some space between the kids' ages.""She and David love kids," says the pal. "It's another thing for them to celebrate during the holidays."
Well, dang, Jenny! Slow down girl! Although we don't know if this is 100% true, Congratulations...just in case! I'll keep checking up on this one. Meanwhile, drool all over baby David below....

Jennifer Hudson says she is NOT pregnant. Her rep, Lisa Kasteler issued this statement:
"Contrary to what has been falsely reported, Jennifer Hudson is not pregnant. Jennifer leaves in April for South Africa where she will portray Winnie Mandela in the feature film, Winnie."
"It is a commitment she is excited about and takes very seriously," the rep adds. "Jennifer is currently in the studio recording her second album and this is the only delivery she is looking forward to in 2010."

Carrie Underwood and her boo, hockey player Mike Fisher are engaged! The couple says they are not sure when the wedding will actually take place, but they're hoping for sometime next summer.
