America’s Next Top Model: Drecktitude…What Is It Good For?

We go from 13 down to 11 this week on America's Next Top Model and two models aren’t the only thing that’s getting taken off.

The first photo shoot is very revealing
The designer for the contestant’s first official photo shoot is Custo Barcelona. However, this time around, the girls are allowed to pick just one item of clothing. The rest of their person will be nude…as in naked, in the buff. Speaking of one item of clothing—Jay wears a skirt to the shoot. But, hey, he has great legs. At the shoot, Angelea selects shoes, Brenda models a watch, Naduah sells a pair of sunglasses. The girls may be a little bit nervous but each one claims to rock the shoot. However, not everyone does

Someone’s going home already
We get quickly to the first painful panel of Cycle 14 and it’s time to introduce our judges. We missed you so, our darling Nigel Barker! And there’s a new face behind the counter—Vogue’s editor-at-large, André Leon Talley, who is a welcome addition (though, we can’t help but miss our Miss J) and brings his style, experience and a whole new language to the panel.

Read on for more spills, chills and unusual walking challenges.

90210: Girl Fight!

"Oh honey, Liam is mine. Now get the hell away from my towel."

Overall, this week’s episode of 90210 was a bit more upbeat than last week. We got plenty of exciting eye candy, including a girl fight, car sex and more shirtless Liam. We did miss seeing Navid, but it did give plenty of room for the Ade/Gia plot line to move along.

Jasper proved himself to be more of a creep than ever. His little violent outbursts are getting a bit tiresome as is the unbalanced-don’t-know-what-he-might-do next vibe. We’re equally annoyed with how little remorse Annie is showing. Sure, Jasper is a dubious, blackmailing drug dealer, but SHE KILLED HIS UNCLE AND RAN AWAY. There’s a pretty big canyon of difference there.

In any case, he allows Annie to break up with him, in the end, citing that if they’re meant to be together she’ll come back. One point to note: You’re not allowed to stalk the object of your affection after “letting them go,” Jasper. Kind of defeats the point.

Let’s take a look at what other soapy drama got lathered up last night.

But first, a poll!

Melrose Place: Auggie’s Out But The Doctor Is In

The loving residents at 4616 Melrose Place barely bat an eye after Auggie and Violet split town overnight. In the fastest rental turnover since…ever, Auggie’s apartment is rented out on the very day he vacates it. The bad news for the current tenants is that new guy plays the electric guitar (which infuriates Lauren who likes to sleep when she can). The good news is that he does it wearing only a towel.

It gets even more fun when we discover that the new resident is also the new resident! He’s the new hospital transfer from John’s Hopkins and he’s working with Lauren. AND his name is Drew. So we’ll be calling him Doctor Drew.

Jonah’s looking for a gal with a strong moral compass
We think he’s in the wrong town but apparently the dude gravitates to nice girls. Not anymore! But he does gravitate to women who can help his career. Ella wants to get A-lister Owen Anderson to star in Jonah’s movie. She is happy to do extra work to help her lover/client, as she gets him and "Living in Reverse" onto the cover of The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

Gossip Girl: Mama Drama

Maybe we were just in a weird mood, but this week’s episode of Gossip Girl found us wanting to grab the nearest book to pelt at the television. More specifically we wanted to take aim for Serena’s noggin. Will she ever stop meddling? She’s got enough problems of her own to address before she turns Chuck’s mama drama into her pet project. Even Blair, who normally would have to look up “step back” in the dictionary, stepped aside to allow Chuck the time and space to deal with his feelings. Forget about the fact that everything turned out all rosy in the end, if Serena wants to focus on someone else’s relationship, why doesn’t she try to patch things up between her mother and Rufus? Now there is a coupling that needs an intervention. Here are a few other thoughts about this week’s proceedings:

Biggest waste of mobile minutes: Serena calling her father to inform him that she will no longer try to contact him. Memo to Serena: He doesn’t care!

Gag reflex moment: Serena walking into the kitchen wearing nothing but Nate’s collared shirt and knee high socks. She’s slept over enough times to have a set of pajamas at the ready. They can be sexy pajamas, but wearing the dude’s shirt screams one-night-stand.

Gag reflex moment (honorable mention): Serena and Nate getting it on in the refrigerator. That can’t be comfortable. It surely wasn’t comfortable to watch.

Gag reflex moment (double honorable mention): Post-coital Dan and Vanessa grading their performance.

Life Unexpected: Formal Reformed

Last night's episode of Life Unexpected made us relive yet another painful high school experience. At least someone admitted that quasi-obligatory rites of passage usually aren't all they're cracked up to be - even if you do get a new dress and quarterback arm candy.

The adults are starting to get it a little bit more, though Baze's foul-ups with Lux were mortifying.

For a little added twist, Bug is back, once again creating drama and more heartbreak for Lux. We tend to agree with Baze, who posited "how much can you miss a guy with a web on his neck?" But no judgment yet; we'll have to wait and see if Bug is back with a new perspective or is up to his old shenanigans.

Read more about sex talks, sexual rejection and all sorts of other reasons why high school sucks after the jump.

90210: Tristan Wilds is too good at keeping secrets

Ah, Tristan Wilds -- you are charming, funny and way too good at keeping 90210's seedy secrets. There's no need to tease, Tristan -- we'd watch anyway!

In any case, he did give away some spoilers for the upcoming episodes in season two, which definitely piqued our interest.

Even more interesting are Tristan's other acting exploits, including the yet-to-be-released George Lucas film, Red Tails, which relates the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. How no one has produced a big film about these men yet is astonishing, but we can't wait to see what Lucas and Wilds will bring to the historic table.

Read more about 90210, Red Tails and all things Tristan in our one-on-one interview after the jump.

One Tree Hill Podcast: "The Last Day of Our Acquaintance"

Listen Now

Whimper. Snivel. SOB! Yep, this was one hell of a tear-jerking episode of One Tree Hill, and some of us are still recovering. (Others of us -- ahem, Darcel -- have no soul.) Mama James meets her maker -- and her hot 80s-heartthrob husbsnd -- and no one survives unscathed. Also, Brooke and Julian do the Brooke and Julian thing, which gets a little old but at least there's some resolution to the whole thing. Also, she clocks Alex, so that works for us!If only Victoria had kept with the slapping and didn't get with the kissing with Boy Alex. She can do so much better! Also, Mouth and Lauren ... you know what? We really don't care.

Gossip Girl Podcast: "The Hurt Locket"

Listen Now

Gossip Girl is finally back, and they gave us some classic Chair moments to make up for the wait! Of course, they also gave us some typical Serena moments, which we were less pleased about... and no, we won't be checking out coats ever again. Plus, Jenny uses her sewing talents for evil, Dan gives bad advice, Rufus loses the right to storm off in a self-righteous huff, and Anna Karinina is suddenly much, much sexier than we remembered. And we're left with the big question: Is that whore actually Chuck's mom? We can't wait to find out!
