Top Model: Trying to Look Sexy in Meat Bikinis
Lighthearted Amis went home last night on Top Model -- not a huge surprise once we saw her in the bottom two with Fatima. It's not that Fatima's the best model there, but she stirs up drama like no one else -- and she has a compelling and sad backstory. Up against that, Amis didn't stand a chance!
First, the models practiced their runway walks at the fire department. Katarzyna was awesome, and she rocked the runway show, too. Finally, one of our early favorites is getting some screentime and some praise! The prize? A Seventeen advertorial with Jaslene and two friends.
Speaking of Jaslene -- were you happy to see her? If you loved her back in Cycle 8, you were probably thrilled. Not a fan? Then the same old Jaslene 'tude probably rubbed you the wrong way when she criticized Lauren ("Do you really want to be here?").
Whether or not you think Jaslene's criticism was harsh, we think Lauren took it a little too hard. We love Lauren, but she needs to realize that just looking pretty isn't enough. Stop telling us how punk rock you are and start taking runway pointers from Miss J... or at least Katarzyna!
And then there was the meat shoot. Did it work for you, or was it just too much?
Meanwhile, Amis got the doesn't-take-it-seriously edit, right down to silly horns playing while she skipped down the runway and horsed around in the house.
We actually found it kind of charming, but it must have been too much personality for Tyra, because she was gone (and we sensed it in the episode's first five minutes).
Other high, er, LOWlights of the episode:
*Enough with the Tyra Mail! Why must the girls read. Every. Word. Slowly. Together? It's enough to make us reach for the mute button.
*Marvita seemed unnecessarily hostile toward Aimee during the shower battles. We loved seeing Whitney come to her defense. In fact, we love Whitney in general... except for that hair. She looked so much better before.

I don't like Jaslene, why don't they bring Caridee insteas, she was nice.
