Jensen Ackles Headed for More Blood?
Those Supernatural boys sure like their re-imagined blood and gore. Hot on the heels of Jared Padalecki signing up to star in a Friday the 13th remake, we now hear Jensen Ackles is in talks to star in a remake of My Bloody Valentine.
The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Jensen is in final negotiations to play the lead in the remake of the 1981 slasher flick. He'll play Tom, "a handsome, principled man" who returns to his hometown 10 years after 22 people were murdered on Valentine's night. He'll come back to a good news/bad news scenario. Good news? His first love, Sarah (played by Jaime King) is still there, and he's still smitten with her. Bad news? He's a murder suspect. Doh!
According to the Reporter, production begins May 12, and the movie is tentatively scheduled to be released January 23.

Jensen well be super in playing Resident Evil 4. I love the francish's series and I'm a 600% horror movies and horror shows fan all the way. Jensen should take Resident Evil 4 one it's a lot of fun killing zombie's.

Good for Jensen! I imagine it it's difficult to schedule in filming a movie over summer break, so I'm glad he's able to do this movie. I love horror movies, so I'm totally excited.

Oh Jensen. You deserve so much better than another slasher remake. But I'll go see the movie just for you and I hope the wider exposure gets you the recognition that you deserve.

Congrats Jensen on your role! Finally a movie that hadsn't been done a zillion times.
Jensen and Jamie King in a movie is awesome she's beautiful and a wonderful actress, I've been wanting her to come on Supernatural but this maybe better.

Congrats on landing a role, Jensen! Even if it's a remake of a horror film (in 3-D no less.) A paycheck's a paycheck, though. Right?
The only reason I'll watch is for Jensen. I kind of wish it weren't a horror flick, but I know his performance will get me through it. Who knows? Maybe it will be a decent slasher. I guess anything's a step up from Devour...

I've read some of his scenes and I'm really excited about it. The character Tom is very different from Dean, so it'll be a refreshing and interesting change for Jensen. I think he'll have lots of fun doing it and we'll have lots of fun watching it.
