Happy Independence Day, Sourcies fans! Before you head out to all those barbecues, make sure you cast your vote in our latest Sourcies competition.
Watching our CW heroes save the world each week wouldn't be half as thrilling without the incredible special effects. Jason C. has montages from Supernatural, Reaper, and Smallville -- watch the clips and vote for the winner below!

After this episode, I suddenly realized how many reflective surfaces there are in every room in my house. I mean, they are *everywhere!* And trying to brush my teeth and fix my hair without looking into the mirror too much was certainly an adventure.
I also liked Charlie. I thought that for a young girl not used to this kind of stuff, suddenly thrown into a pretty terrifying situation, she handled herself very well.

I have to say that while Supernatural is my favourite show and I love love love it more than anything... but from the little video there, I was actually impressed with Reaper's special effects!
So i gave them my vote this time.

smallville has plenty of chances to win a sourcie. and you shouldn't base the sourcie off of 'they need to win one so i'm going to vote for them.'
i thought by far, supernatural had the most amazing special effects and everything looked pretty realistic. i kinda hate to say it, but most of smallville effects are just the slow motion parts which shows no variety at all. it's basically using the same technique over and over again.
i definitely like some of the reaper special effects. but in the end, i gave my vote to supernatural not because its my favorite show or because i want them to win the sourcies over all, but because I think they deserve this win.

Supernatural's the best ever! Low budget, still they managed to make breathtaking show. Hope, the 4th season won't be the last one.

Supernatural team is very good, even though it has very limited resources.
I'm sure the show would make much more sucess if the CW gave it the deserved support. =/

While I think the demon smoke on Supernatural is pretty cheesy, the rest of the FX on that show always blows me away - considering the small budget they work on. The ghost death at the end of RSAM was one of the coolest ghost deaths ever.

In each move the special effects are somewhat different in smaville its more high tec and risky, in reaper its more devilish and fun, supernatural its more scary and creepy. For me its supernaturl first then reaper second

Considering Smallville has twice the money for special effects as Supernatural and Reaper, it can definitely do bigger and better sfx. And Reaper's sfx are actually pretty impressive. But I'm voting for ones who manage to do so much on such a limited budget. The Winchester boys get my vote!! Go SUPERNATURAL!!!

I'm amazed by how much better Supernatural's special effects improved from he first season. Remember the Wendigo creature? Or all those horrible green-screen driving shots? I have to give Kripke and his crew kudos for making the special effects better and better despite apparently tighter budgets.

My vote goes to Supernatural of course:) They have a lot of good special effects, I like the most the ones for the demons:) And yes, Dean being ripped apart was painfully good:(((

having never seen reaper aside from the first episode i was surprised at their effects cause they're pretty good but dean being ripped apart by invisible hell hounds was at a whole other level
